Gama Pehlwan: Early Life

Ghulam Mohammad Baksh Butt was born in the hamlet of Jabbowal in the Amritsar District of the Punjab Province of British India to Muslim parents in 1878. He was a big fan of the poet Khushal. At age 10, Gama would do 500 lunges and 500 pushups as part of her fitness program.
