Type of FSSAI license Registration

In India, formal registration is essentially necessary for all small food-related businesses before they may open for operation. Business incorporation entities like proprietorship firms and private limited companies are included in this legal registration. The Food License and FSSAI License are the same since you require other licences, such as a GST registration or a food licence.

Each business that deals with food must have one of three food licences, known as FSSAI.

a) FSSAI Basic Registration:

The small firm must have an FSSAI Basic Registration if its annual revenue is less than 12 lakh rupees. The calculation of turnover is done annually. Therefore, only the basic FSSAI or Food License Registration is needed if you establish your firm.

b) FSSAI State License Registration:

This is necessary if you already have an FSSAI Basic Registration and your annual revenue exceeds 12 lakh rupees but falls below 20 crore rupees.

c) FSSAI Central License Registration:

This is necessary if you plan to launch an import-export firm or if you want to supply the government’s numerous departments.

Even the large-scale companies with annual sales of more than 20 Cr. are required to have it.
